Job description

Join the largest locally owned and operated commercial waste management company in Hawaii. Honolulu Disposal Service is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our company's motor vehicles and equipment (Front-End Load Truck, Rolloff Truck, Tractor Trailer, Scout Truck, etc.) in a safe and timely manner.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work as an individual and on a team to repair and maintain all company vehicles.
  • Experience in Hydraulic and automotive repairs.
  • Additional experience working with automatic and manual transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes is preferred.
  • Adhere to ALL company Safety practices, policies and procedures.
  • Be able to follow directions and have open communication with supervisors and coworkers.

Requirements

  • Reliable, detail & results oriented, thorough, and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background check

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive Hourly Wage + Overtime (depending on experience)
