Front Desk Agent Position

Position is available immediately!

Front Desk Agents are responsible for greeting and registering the guest, providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest's account upon completion of their stay. Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making and modifying reservations, hotel operator, and concierge duties. Providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Set up accurate accounts for each guest checking in
  • Block rooms in the computer and follow through on designated requirements
  • Pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets
  • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information
  • Employ attention to detail in order to ensure security of guest room access.
  • Maintain guest history files on all guests
  • Accommodate room changes
  • Document all guest requests, complaints or problems immediately and notify designated department/personnel for resolving the situation. Follow up to ensure completion and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain complete knowledge at all times of all hotel features/services, hours of operation, room types, numbers, layout, decor, appointments and locations, room rates, special packages and promotions.
  • A flexible schedule is necessary for this position, including ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
  • Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
  • Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints.
  • Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy.
  • Maintains accurate records including cash flows, registration cards, reservation cards, and property walks.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and travel directions.
  • Records pertinent guest information in the pass on log.
  • Ensures common area/lobby is clean.
  • Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities.
  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
  • Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Maintenance, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem.
  • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
