Job description

Pay Range: $22.00 to $24.10 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Horizon House is seeking a warm, service-minded Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our community and the first point of contact for residents, guests, vendors, and staff. Someone who is friendly, organized, and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a welcoming, secure, and supportive environment for everyone who enters Horizon House.

What You'll Do

  • Greet residents, guests, vendors, and staff with professionalism and warmth, creating a positive and welcoming first impression.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls and inquiries to the appropriate department or team member.
  • Assist residents and guests with requests for information and services, ensuring a seamless and responsive customer experience.
  • Receive, track, and communicate the arrival of packages, grocery deliveries, and other deliveries for residents.
  • Monitor the community entrance, verify visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and issue visitor badges in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to resident and guest concerns with courtesy and professionalism, resolving issues when possible and escalating as appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and departments throughout the community to ensure exceptional resident service and continuity of operations.
  • Respond appropriately during emergencies and follow established protocols to help protect residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA requirements.

The ideal candidate:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in reception, hospitality, customer service, or administrative support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and comfort learning and utilizing web-based systems.
  • Strong effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Curiosity and the ability to adapt to new technology and processes.
  • Confidence in managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to remain composed and professional in all interactions, including emergency situations.
