Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a part-time Office Specialist - Front Desk Floater to join its Clinical Support team.DBH is committed to providing exemplary customer services to its clients and employees. As a member of the Clinical Support team, the Office Specialist - Front Desk positions perform essential tasks related to making clients feel welcome and valued when they check in for appointments. Office Specialists are the first point of contact for most of the DBH clients when coming for treatment and create the critical first impression. The Office Specialist - Front Desk Floater has the unique opportunity to work in all DBH's outpatient clinics.Please visit the DBH career page (here) to apply for this position as quick applications through sites like Indeed and others may cause delays as critical information is not required on those sites.Essential Job FunctionsThe Office Specialist - Front Desk Floater must be able to perform the following essential job functions:Greet clients in a prompt, warm, and friendly manner.Gather client and insurance information efficiently and accurately.Request, collect, and process co-pays and other payments from clients at the time of service.Convey all necessary information related to the client's appointment.Work within DBH's electronic medical record system and have a working knowledge of HIPAA and other privacy laws.Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information to the appropriate source, when necessary.Monitor the work area to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.Be knowledgeable about the crisis system and know when and how to activate it.All other duties as assigned related to the needs of the organization.The clinical support staff at DBH provide the first impression for its clients and play an important role in helping clients who may be struggling with their mental health, which is why providing excellent customer service in a prompt manner is critical.Schedule & LocationShifts may vary slightly to allow for coverage at all locations at DBH.PM ShiftMonday through Thursday 2:00 pm to 7:00 pmFriday 12:30 pm to 5:00 pmWhen not providing coverage for other clinical support staff, this position will be based out of the DBH Main Street Clinic located at 934 South Main Street, Layton, Utah 84041.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma, or equivalent.Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.Must complete and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.All employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug screening. Since Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants the company and its employees must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.Desired Skills & AbilitiesAbility to provide exceptional customer service to DBH clients and employees.Proficiently utilize required systems and/or equipment related to performing essential functions of the job.Ability to work independently and effectively.
