Overview
The Office of Enrollment Management Operations is seeking motivated, forward-facing, result-oriented applicants for the position of Enrollment Operations Front Desk Student Assistant for Fall 2026!
As a Front Desk Student Assistant, you will be an integral part of our admissions team, welcoming prospective students and their families to Auburn's campus. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in higher education administration and develop professional skills that will benefit you in your future career.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Administrative Support: Assist Undergraduate Admissions staff with preparing, compiling, and printing materials for guests and maintaining the lobby & hospitality areas.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input and maintain guest/applicant information in the admissions database (Slate).
  • Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from prospective students and their families via phone,
    email, and in-person visits. Provide general information about the admissions process, program offerings, and campus life.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the admissions team to answer email queries about campus tours and general admissions information.
  • File Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic files related to admissions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Enrolled and actively taking classes at Auburn University during the 2026 fall semester.
You must also have these qualifications:
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other student assistants and professional staff members of the admissions team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database management.
  • Enthusiasm: A positive attitude and enthusiasm for promoting the institution and its programs.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to work during the Fall Semester 2026 (August 17 - Dec 4)
