Job description

$100,000 - $200,000+ | Uncapped Commission | Company-Provided Leads | Growth Into Sales Management

Job Description

Your Home Solar, the #1 solar contractor in East Tennessee, is looking for an experienced Solar Sales Representative to help us continue growing our residential and commercial solar business throughout the region.

This is not a cold-call-only sales position. We invest heavily in marketing and advertising to generate inbound residential leads and company-provided appointments for our sales team.

On the commercial side, we are looking for someone who can take a more proactive approach by networking, building relationships, and developing new opportunities with businesses, property owners, contractors, developers, and other organizations throughout East Tennessee.

We are also looking beyond this individual position. As Your Home Solar continues to grow, our goal is for the right person to develop into a sales management role, helping us build, train, and lead a larger sales team throughout East Tennessee.

If you are a proven salesperson who can close company-provided opportunities while also helping create new business, this is an opportunity to build something with us.

What You'll Do

  • Run company-provided residential solar appointments throughout East Tennessee
  • Meet with homeowners, business owners, and other decision-makers to discuss solar opportunities
  • Educate customers on solar energy, system options, potential savings, and the overall process
  • Develop customized solar solutions based on the customer's property, energy usage, and goals
  • Follow up with inbound leads generated through company marketing and advertising
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Network throughout East Tennessee to develop new commercial solar opportunities
  • Build relationships with business owners, property owners, contractors, developers, and other potential referral partners
  • Identify commercial properties and organizations that may benefit from solar
  • Manage opportunities from the initial conversation through signed agreement
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships throughout the sales process
  • Consistently achieve sales and revenue goals
  • Represent Your Home Solar with professionalism, honesty, and integrity
  • Provide feedback that helps improve our sales process as the company continues to grow

Opportunity for Sales Management

We are hiring for a sales position today, but we are looking for someone who can grow with the company.

As we continue expanding our residential and commercial operations throughout East Tennessee, our intention is to promote the right person into a sales leadership and management position.

That opportunity could include:

  • Helping recruit additional sales representatives
  • Training and mentoring new members of the sales team
  • Helping establish sales processes and best practices
  • Managing sales performance and accountability
  • Assisting with territory and market expansion
  • Helping grow our commercial sales strategy
  • Leading a growing residential and commercial sales organization

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply sell. We want someone who is interested in helping build the next stage of our sales operation.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience preferred
  • Experience in home improvement, solar, roofing, construction, HVAC, real estate, or other high-ticket sales is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to close sales and manage a pipeline
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable selling to both homeowners and business owners
  • Ability to build relationships and generate new business
  • Willingness to network and develop commercial opportunities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage your schedule effectively
  • Leadership mindset with an interest in growing into sales management
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check

Why Your Home Solar?

Your Home Solar is the #1 solar contractor in East Tennessee, and we are continuing to grow.

We have built a strong local brand and invest heavily in marketing and advertising to create demand for our residential solar services. Instead of expecting our salespeople to generate every opportunity themselves, we provide inbound residential leads and appointments.

At the same time, we believe there is significant opportunity to continue expanding our commercial solar business throughout East Tennessee. We're looking for someone who can take advantage of both.

You'll have the ability to work company-provided residential opportunities while also building relationships and creating commercial business of your own.

Most importantly, this position offers room to grow. We are building for the future and want the right salesperson to have the opportunity to become a leader within the company as our sales team expands.
