Erie Family Health Centers, a nationally recognized top workplace with 13 sites in Chicago and suburbs, is looking for a valuable addition to the Reproductive Health Operations Department. The Reproductive Health Operations Nurse plays a critical role in advancing patient safety systems and helping to implement organization-wide reproductive health initiatives. This role provides clinical leadership and operational support to ensure high-quality, patient-centered reproductive health services across Erie Family Health Centers. This role focuses on clinical excellence, staff training, quality improvement, and coordination of reproductive health initiatives, including cervical cancer prevention, ultrasound services, and specialty care programs. The RN serves as a key resource for nursing and medical assistant staff while supporting system-wide reproductive health goals.

This role is a hybrid role. At Erie, a hybrid role combines working onsite at a specific Erie location and working from home from an approved workspace. Hybrid work schedules can vary depending on the role and needs of the organization.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide thorough, accurate, and consistent training and onboarding for newly hired nurses and medical assistants in reproductive health services as indicated.
  • Promote and ensure the highest quality patient care in alignment with Erie Family Health standards, guidelines, and protocols through active participation in continuous clinical quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor morbidity and mortality (M&M) audits, identifying trends and opportunities for clinical improvement including the CNM (Certified nurse midwife) report and all provider report.
  • Support the Reproductive Health Services (RHS) team with scheduling and coordination of in-house ultrasound services.
  • Provide hospital partners in conjunction with the Reproductive Care Health Promoters (RCHP's) with delivery projections and maintain data-sharing collaboration.
  • Perform monthly reviews of abnormal cervical cancer screenings to ensure appropriate and timely follow-up care.
  • Participate in direct patient care as an Iron Infusion RN 1-2 days per week, ensuring safe and effective infusion services.
  • Conduct quarterly UDS (Uniform Data System) audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting reproductive health metrics.
Education
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
Skills and Knowledge
Required:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience required
  • A strong desire and passion to work with diverse patient populations and patient care teams across the organization.
  • Strong interest in advancing health equity and reducing health disparities in reproductive and women's health.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize data to inform system-wide interventions.
  • Commitment to enhancing process improvement, quality improvement, and evaluation systems related to reproductive and women's health at Erie Family Health Centers.
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple EMR interfaces.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams required.
Preferred:
  • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) preferred. May be required to assist or work with non-English/Spanish only speaking patients and/or guests.
  • Experience in reproductive health, women's health, or community health settings.
  • Experience in quality improvement, staff training, or clinical leadership preferred
