Job description

Position Summary

PACE Systems is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Architect with deep experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across IT Operations Management and IT Asset Management. This role will lead architecture, solution design, platform strategy, and implementation guidance for enterprise ServiceNow initiatives, with a strong focus on ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, SAM, HAM, and related platform capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who can partner with business and technical stakeholders, translate requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions, and guide delivery teams through successful implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ServiceNow solution architecture for ITOM and ITAM implementations.
• Design scalable solutions across CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, and related modules.
• Provide architectural guidance on CMDB health, CSDM alignment, data model design, integrations, platform governance, and long-term scalability.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution options, and recommend best-fit ServiceNow capabilities.
• Create technical architecture documents, design specifications, implementation roadmaps, and platform standards.
• Guide developers, administrators, and implementation teams through configuration, customization, integration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Ensure ServiceNow solutions align with platform best practices, security standards, upgradeability, and maintainability.
• Support discovery workshops, estimation, delivery planning, and stakeholder presentations as needed.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on ServiceNow ITOM / ITAM strategy.

Required Qualifications

• 6–8 years of overall ServiceNow experience.
• Strong hands-on implementation background across ServiceNow ITOM and/or ITAM.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, IT asset lifecycle processes, and IT operations workflows.
• Experience leading ServiceNow implementation projects from design through deployment.
• Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of integrations, data imports, APIs, workflow automation, MID Servers, and platform configuration.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote delivery environment.

Certification Requirements

• ServiceNow implementation certification required or strongly preferred.
• CMA – Certified Master Architect is ideal.
• CTA – Certified Technical Architect or CSA – Certified System Administrator acceptable.
• ServiceNow certifications in ITOM, ITAM, Discovery, Service Mapping, SAM, HAM, CMDB, or related areas are highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Enterprise-scale CMDB and CSDM transformation experience.
• ITAM governance, software compliance, hardware lifecycle management, and asset normalization experience.
• Experience with SAM Pro, HAM Pro, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB Workspace, or related ServiceNow capabilities.
• Background working with consulting, managed services, or large enterprise ServiceNow environments.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading technical delivery teams.
