Licensed Psychologist 

Location: Great Neck, New York
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Setting: In-Person
Specialty: OCD / Anxiety / CBT


Position Overview

An established outpatient mental health organization is seeking a Licensed Psychologist with a strong CBT focus to join its multidisciplinary team in Great Neck, NY.

The psychologist will provide evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, BDD, mood disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, and related conditions, including participation in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy using CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT, CPT, CBT-ED, and PE as appropriate.
  • Treat patients with OCD, anxiety, BDD, and other related behavioral health conditions.
  • Participate in the IOP and provide care for higher-acuity patients.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide ERP therapy, including community-based or home-based exposure when clinically appropriate.
  • Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Participate in case consultations and program development.
  • Provide mentorship or supervision when appropriate.
  • Stay current with evidence-based behavioral health research and treatment.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) from an accredited program.
  • Active New York State Psychology license.
  • Strong foundation in CBT and a directive therapeutic approach.
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment; ERP experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience treating OCD, anxiety, BDD, eating disorders, autism, mood disorders, or related conditions.
  • Comfortable working with complex or higher-acuity patients.
  • Strong communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills.

Preferred: Experience in inpatient, residential, hospital, or IOP settings; research or academic experience; clinical supervision or mentorship experience.
