- Manage a portfolio of assigned customer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for operational and service-related matters.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention, growth, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Drive revenue growth within existing accounts by identifying opportunities and supporting customer business objectives.
- Oversee daily transportation operations for assigned accounts, ensuring loads are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Ensure adequate transportation capacity and coverage to support customer demand and service commitments.
- Monitor shipment performance and proactively address service disruptions, escalations, and operational challenges.
- Analyze customer, carrier, and operational performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance service and operational results.
- Manage account-level financial activities, including ad-hoc pricing, rate negotiations, and accessorial approvals.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reporting, and transportation management system data.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support customer needs, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in testing, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies, systems, and operational tools prior to company-wide deployment, providing feedback and partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed.
- Adapt workflows and processes to effectively incorporate new tools, technologies, and business initiatives.
- Represent the Account Management function by hosting and supporting internal visitors, business partners, and stakeholders seeking insight into the agent and customer experience.
Required Minimum Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in the transportation industry
Preferred Experience and Education:
- 2 years of experience in transportation brokerage/account management
