Job description

1st shift Hours: 6am-230pm, Monday- Friday 

Job Summary

The Powered Equipment Operator is responsible for safely handling and maneuvering Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift or other machinery within the DC. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Promptly moves pallets and other items needing movement to assigned dock doors as directed by DC Personnel
  • Operates all machinery in a safe manner at all times
  • Performs daily check of machinery
  • Reports any mechanical irregularities to DC Managers at once
  • Performs all duties in a safe, accurate and timely manner
  • Maintains a clean work area at all times
  • Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
  • Conducts other duties as required and assigned 
  • Assists in other warehouse functions as directed

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience a plus 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Must be able to pass equipment certification test and show proficiency in driving equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment (cold & heat)
  • Some overtime required including weekend work
