Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Knitting Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team during the hours of 3:30pm - 12:00am. In this role, you will oversee the knitting operations, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Your leadership will drive quality standards, optimize workflow, and foster a collaborative enfironment that promotes continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing excellence in a fast-paced factory setting.
Job Duties:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the knitting department during the second shift, ensuring production goals are met.
  • Monitor machine performance and address defects quickly, and collaborate with internal Quality team and/or R&D to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Quality, and R&D teams to prioritize equipment usage, and improve processes.
  • Review assigned production team timecards to ensure attendance standards are being met and all records are accurate for the payroll department.
  • Ensure all on the job injuries and extended absences are reported to Human Resources timely.
  • Oversee all new hire training programs to ensure completion and sign-off of training paperwork.
  • Any additional duties not listed above as directed by Management.

Requirements
Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of (5) years of related leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proven experience working in manufacturing facility or factory environment with hands-on knowledge of knitting machine operation.
