Role Description

As the Head of Security Engineering, you will provide critical leadership and technical oversight for the SecEng team. You will be responsible for securing our core network infrastructure and driving the successful deployment of key security initiatives. You will also be expected to think outside the box, using AI and automation to creatively solve complex security challenges.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Lead and mentor the Security Engineering team, providing technical oversight and strategic direction.
  • Architect and implement robust security controls to protect GFiber's core network infrastructure.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation creatively to solve complex security problems and streamline SecEng operations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other engineering and operations teams to embed security best practices across the organization.
At a minimum, we would like you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in network security or security engineering.
  • Experience designing and implementing security architectures.
  • 3 years of experience managing and leading engineering teams.
It’s preferred if you have:
  • CISSP, CISM, or similar industry-recognized security certifications.
  • Demonstrated creativity in applying AI tools to solve engineering or security problems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $184,800 - $271,000 + bonus + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
