What Youโll Do
Youโll work as part of a technician team installing and supporting data center cabling and network infrastructure, including:
HandsโOn Installation & Cabling
- Install and decommission copper and fiber cabling infrastructure
- Pull, route, dress, and label lowโvoltage cable (Cat5, Cat6, fiber)
- Perform field terminations and cable labeling
- Assist with rack & stack of network and server equipment
- Install ladder racking and seismic bracing (above and below raised floor)
- Layout and dress MDF and IDF closets
Testing & Documentation (with Training as Needed)
- Support copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting
- Operate test equipment (DSX 5000 / OTDR) or learn under supervision
- Upload and save results to LinkWare / LinkWare Live
- Create and apply portโmap labels
- Maintain clean, accurate documentation and paperwork
Field & Team Responsibilities
- Follow all safety, quality, and data center best practices
- Maintain clean, organized work areas
- Communicate project updates to leads and managers
- Work collaboratively with technicians, leads, and stakeholders
- Read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and design documents

Required / Preferred Skills
- Experience with cabling, racking, or data center environments
- Familiarity with basic telecom hand tools
- Understanding of wiring schemes and labeling practices
- Comfortable pulling lowโvoltage cable and working at heights
- Ability to read floor plans and basic drawings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience with fiber splicing, OTDR testing, or FIM databases is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and work on raised platforms
- Extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and reaching
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and technical equipment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
