General Summary
Provides comprehensive clinical audiology services in a university-based, interdisciplinary clinical setting. Delivers direct patient care and contributes to clinical supervision, which may include supervising graduate students as appropriate. Supports high-quality, ethical practice while collaborating with clinical and academic partners.
Major Duties
  • Provides comprehensive audiologic evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
  • Performs diagnostic testing including audiometry, immittance measures, otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing.
  • Applies evidence-informed practices to select, program, verify, and manage hearing aids and assistive listening devices and prepares related purchase agreements.
  • Conducts cochlear implant candidacy evaluations.
  • Collaborates with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams, performs cochlear implant activation, and provides ongoing follow-up care.
  • Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Provides occasional supervision and support to graduate-level speech-language pathology students within the clinical setting.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in related field from an accredited institution.
  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Experience with Audiologic evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
  • Experience with hearing aid selections, fittings, verification, and management.
  • Experience with Cochlear implant candidacy evaluations.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and ethically document patient encounters in compliance with state and local laws.
  • Fully licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Michigan.
