Job description

Staff Source is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist for a client in Griffith, IN. This CNC Machinist position is a full time, temp-to-hire position with a starting pay between $28-30 hourly depending on experience. This position is currently available for 1st shift Monday-Friday. Once hired on, employees will receive benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life, 401k(employer matching), and paid time off.


Job Responsibilities:

• Operating CNC machines (milling, lathe, and router)

• Selecting the proper machine, position and loading material to complete the job

• Review samples, drawing or instructions to understand specifications of output

• Observe machine operation to detect issues, adjust the feed, and maintain temperature

• Perform routine machine maintenance and repairs

• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects

• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job

• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirements

Requirements:

• Experience programming manual, semi-automated or fully automated tools, and machines

• Experience with Mazak, Tongtai, Kia, and Hass CNC machines and software such as SolutionWare and SolidWorks is a plus

• Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements

• Math and analytical abilities

• Ability to read blueprints

• High school diploma or GED

• Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material

• Able to lift over 50lbs
