Job Description

This Job Post is for our plumbing subsidiary ARI PLUMBING:

Licensed Journeyman Plumber โ€” Growth Track

Ari Plumbing | Montgomery County, MD

Ari Plumbing is a growing, owner-operated plumbing company serving Montgomery County and the surrounding DC-metro area. We're adding a Licensed Journeyman Plumber to our team โ€” someone who's ready to run their own service calls, build a book of skills, and grow into a senior, high-earning role with the company.

About the Role

You'll work independently on residential service and repair calls, with our Master Plumber available to support you on larger or more complex jobs while you build experience. This isn't a "stay in your lane forever" position โ€” it's a defined growth path toward full autonomy, bigger jobs, and bigger paychecks.

Compensation

We believe in paying for growth as you earn it:

  • Base salary: $65,000โ€“$75,000, based on experience
  • Performance milestone bonus/commission kicks in once you're running a consistent independent job load (typically within 6 months)
  • Year 2+ growth path: journeymen who reach sustained solo production benchmarks move to a higher base ($80Kโ€“$90K) plus a full commission structure โ€” matching what our senior journeymen earn today
  • Paid time off
  • Ongoing training and mentorship toward advanced licensing/certifications

What You'll Do

  • Independently diagnose and repair residential plumbing issues โ€” leaks, fixtures, water heaters, drain and sewer lines, and general service calls
  • Provide accurate, on-the-spot quotes for standard jobs
  • Assist the Master Plumber on larger installs, remodels, and complex repairs โ€” a direct path to learning higher-ticket work
  • Represent the company professionally in customers' homes: clean work, clear communication, on-time arrivals
  • Keep accurate job documentation, parts/material tracking, and invoicing

What We're Looking For

  • Active Maryland Journeyman Plumber license (required)
  • 1โ€“5 years of journeyman-level experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Own basic hand tools (company provides specialty/heavy equipment)
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule/route
  • Strong communication skills โ€” you're often the face of the company in a customer's home
  • A mindset geared toward growth: we want someone who wants to become our next top producer, not just fill a seat

Why Ari Plumbing

  • Real earning growth tied to real performance โ€” no ceiling
  • Direct mentorship from a Master Plumber, not just a rotating dispatcher
  • Steady, established client base across Montgomery County โ€” you're not building a book from zero
  • Small company culture where your work is visible and rewarded
