Job description

Amazon Publisher Monetization Device Ads team is responsible for developing and delivering a suite of demand products that enable advertisers to buy media across our networks of publishers and devices. As our business expands, we are introducing new ad capabilities, inventory supply and measurement technologies that span multiple teams within Amazon. Join Amazon's Publisher Monetization team as a Principal Tech Business Developer where you'll shape the future of device advertising by identifying new opportunities and scaling advertiser growth across our publisher networks. You'll work in an entrepreneurial environment within a large company-experimenting, learning fast, and driving real impact through cross-functional collaboration with sales, product, and engineering teams. This role offers the chance to influence strategy at the organizational level while building sustainable business models in a rapidly evolving advertising landscape.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute business plans focused on demand generation and adoption strategies, working closely with stakeholders across sales, product, finance, and engineering teams
• Identify and implement innovative strategies to drive business growth, efficiency, and scale within the device display advertising business
• Define business goals based on market segmentation and customer insights, then establish mechanisms to track adoption and optimize sales execution
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to address customer needs, refine product offerings, and achieve revenue targets in partnership with sales, marketing, product, and program teams
• Prepare and present regular business reviews that communicate roadmap updates, strategic inputs, performance metrics, and financial results to senior leadership
A day in the life
In this role, you'll focus on developing and executing business plans that drive demand generation and adoption of our advertising solutions. You'll be reviewing market insights and customer feedback, then move into cross-functional meetings with sales, product, and engineering teams to align on strategic priorities. Spend time analyzing business metrics to understand customer acquisition trends, then shift to preparing materials for leadership reviews that showcase roadmap updates and financial performance. You'll also work on refining go-to-market strategies based on real-world feedback from our sales teams and customers, ensuring our advertising offerings meet evolving market needs. You'll have the opportunity build relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborate on innovative strategies that help drive business growth and efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field, or PMP certificate
- Knowledge of publisher ad tech stacks and/or advertising technology
- Knowledge of the AdTech industry (e.g., Ad Servers, SSPs, DSPs)
- Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
