Job description

SEM and Paid Social Specialist

Duluth, GA or Birmingham, AL location

This is a combined role with a main focus on SEM responsibilities but will also have some social media buying responsibilities. We’re looking for a team member who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, bringing together paid search and paid social to drive performance across the funnel. This role is hands-on-keyboard and highly collaborative, blending analytical rigor with creative problem solving. You’ll work across platforms, teams, and clients to deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You’ll Do – Search Engine Marketing (Primary Focus – ~70%)

  • Develop PPC and SEO strategies aligned to client business objectives
  • Develop and manage paid search campaigns including keyword generation, ad copywriting, bid management, and budgets
  • Manage and execute retail media paid search ads on retailer platforms
  • Utilize bid management tools and data modeling to maximize PPC effectiveness
  • Conduct ongoing SEO analysis to identify and resolve gaps
  • Conduct sector and keyword analysis to inform growth
  • Develop backlinking strategies
  • Analyze campaign performance to improve ROI
  • Monitor search engine algorithm changes and trends

Paid Social Media (Secondary Focus – ~30%)

  • Execute and optimize campaigns across social channels including Meta, YouTube, Pintrest, TikTok
  • Support integrated media strategies connecting search and social
  • Test audience targeting, creative, and placements
  • Collaborate with creative and strategy teams

Cross-Channel & Client Collaboration

  • Monitor performance and optimize toward KPIs
  • Manage budgets, pacing, and reconciliation
  • Analyze cross-channel data for insights
  • Implement tracking via GA4 and GTM
  • Prepare reporting and communicate recommendations
  • Collaborate with internal teams


What We’re Looking For

  • 3 years in SEM focus role with social media buying experience a plus; This is a role for a talented individual with mentioned skills and is an associate level role just beyond entry-level. Experience from full-time roles, with internship experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and paid social platforms
  • Strong understanding of PPC strategy and optimization
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals
  • Experience with GA4, GTM, and attribution
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience with Performance Max or Demand Gen
  • Familiarity with attribution modeling
  • Comfort with AI tools
