Job Overview
The SEO Technical Specialist supports in executing strategic technical SEO initiatives within the in-house SEO team. This role plays a key part in developing and implementing technical SEO strategies, providing guidance on new site features, and collaborating closely with Product and Technology teams across multiple business units.
What You Will Do
  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawling and indexing, rank cannibalization, site structure, server log files, faceted navigation, and other complex e-commerce SEO challenges.
  • Support the Director of Technical SEO on technical SEO initiatives in partnership with Product teams (engineering, design, and product management), contributing throughout all project phases from discovery to implementation.
  • Set up and monitor systems to detect and alert on SEO performance issues, including crawlability, site speed, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, metadata, redirects, and overall site structure using technical SEO tools.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective internal linking strategy to support SEO goals.
  • Provide strategic SEO guidance on website projects to ensure alignment with SEO best practices and long-term strategy.
  • Deliver regular technical SEO reports with clear analysis, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations focused on creating a view of our site health.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in technical SEO platforms and tools, including Adobe Analytics, SEO Clarity, Ahrefs, Botify, and Screaming Frog.
  • Possess a solid working knowledge of search engine algorithms, SSL certificates, and website architecture (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies).
  • Stay current with changes in Google's search ecosystem, including algorithm updates and new search features, and deliver ongoing SEO technical training to Product teams.
  • Help provide QA support for engineering test and updates such as Dynamic Rendering, Akamai Redirects, and Bot Management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge on changes to the industry regarding AI Search, being able to help support new workflows like WebMCP, UCP, and more sophisticated user journey tracking (users v agents/bots).
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Skills You Will Need
Technical SEO Expertise: Deep knowledge of technical SEO principles, including crawling, indexing, site structure, rank cannibalization, faceted navigation, site speed / performance, best in class rendering approaches, and e-commerce-specific SEO challenges.
SEO Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with tools and platforms such as Screaming Frog, Botify, SEOClarity, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Data Studio, and Adobe Analytics.
Web Technologies Knowledge: Strong understanding of website architecture and development constraints related to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SSL certificates.
Analytical & Reporting Skills: Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, develop insights, and present strategic recommendations. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with Adobe Analytics preferred.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build strong working relationships with Product, Engineering, and Design teams. Comfortable socializing and advocating for SEO strategy across the organization.
Project Management & Execution: Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives, track performance, and adapt strategy based on impact and outcomes. Familiarity with JIRA is a plus.
Strategic Communication: Skilled at explaining complex technical SEO concepts in clear, non-technical terms for stakeholders and leadership.
E-commerce SEO Experience: Demonstrated experience with SEO for large-scale, enterprise-level e-commerce sites, including understanding of internal linking, meta data, canonical tags, and sitemaps.
Initiative & Adaptability: Self-starter with strong time management skills, able to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and pivot as priorities evolve.
Continuous Learning & Training: Up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, with a passion for sharing knowledge and training internal teams.
Who You Are
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3+ years of experience in technical SEO and online marketing, either in-house or at an agency/consultancy.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
