Job Title: Fresh Cut Produce Lead

Report to: Produce Department Manager

Lead a team while delivering high-quality ready-to-enjoy produce and an excellent guest experience!

As a Fresh Cut Lead, you’ll guide a team of fresh cut produce associates to ensure the highest standards in fresh, ready-to-enjoy fruits and vegetables. You’ll oversee inventory, maintain department standards, and create a seamless shopping experience for guests. 


What You’ll Do:
  • Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do.  Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day. 
  • Support & Train the Team: Lead, coach, and train fresh cut produce associates to ensure high performance and exceptional service.
  • Maintain Fresh Inventory: Monitor stock levels, track shrink, and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Oversee Department Standards: Ensure quality, food safety, and cleanliness are consistently met.
  • Engage with Guests: Assist with product selection, take special orders, and resolve concerns.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with store leadership and vendors to keep the Fresh Cut department running smoothly.
  • Keep the Department Organized: Maintain a clean and efficient workspace to support productivity.
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
  • High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Experience in stocking, retail sales associate, or produce associate roles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
  • Understanding of on-the-job safety, food safety and sanitation best practices.

  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.

  • Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
  • The position requires the associate to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
Work Schedule:

The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
