Job description

Job Summary

CTS Global Supply Chain Solutions is seeking an experienced Air Operations Specialist I to join our growing Air Operations team. This role is responsible for independently managing daily air import and export shipments while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, airline requirements, and customer service standards.

The ideal candidate has solid freight forwarding experience, is proficient in CargoWise, and is capable of handling shipments from origin to final delivery with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage international air import and export shipments.
  • Coordinate shipment bookings with airlines, overseas agents, trucking companies, and customers.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation including MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and other required documents.
  • Track shipment milestones and proactively communicate shipment status to customers.
  • Coordinate customs clearance and final delivery when required.
  • Resolve shipment issues, delays, and exceptions while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with TSA, CBP, IATA, and company SOPs.
  • Accurately enter and maintain shipment data in CargoWise.
  • Verify billing information and support invoice preparation.
  • Collaborate with Ocean Operations, Sales, Warehouse, Trucking, and overseas offices.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and support junior team members when needed.


Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in air import/export freight forwarding or international logistics.
  • Good knowledge of U.S. air import procedures and documentation.
  • Experience with CargoWise or other freight forwarding software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • English/Mandarin(preferred)
