Director of Supply Chain Job Summary:The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing Pompeian's end-to-end supply chain operations, production planning, inventory management, procurement of packaging and finished goods materials, import logistics, domestic transportation, warehousing, and third-party logistics operations. This role provides strategic leadership to ensure the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the supply chain while maintaining exceptional customer service levels, optimizing working capital, reducing costs, and supporting company growth objectives. The Director of Supply Chain will lead continuous improvement initiatives, develop strong supplier and logistics partner relationships, monitor industry trends and market conditions, and drive operational excellence across all supply chain functions. This position will report to the VP of Operations, offers a hybrid role 2 days remote, and 3 days on site at 4201 Pulaski Highway in Baltimore at corporate HQ. for Pompeian. Preferred candidates live in the state of Maryland. Will consider candidates from surrounding states such as; PA., DE., VA., West VA. Director of Supply Chain Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment Must have at least 2 years' experience in a director role 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers and and third-party logistics expenses Partner closely with Finance to develop annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range business plans while monitoring supply chain spending against budget and implement corrective actions when necessary Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, landed cost calculations, freight allocations, and cost accounting practices Lead efforts to identify and quantify transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain operations Review and approve significant supply chain expenditures, purchase commitments, freight agreements, contracts Lead negotiations for strategic supplier, transportation, warehousing, and service contracts to secure favorable pricing, service levels, and commercial terms Provide executive leadership with regular reporting on supply chain financial and efficiency performance, cost trends, inventory investment, working capital, and savings initiatives Establish and monitor key supply chain performance indicators and dashboards, utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and identify operational opportunities Lead initiatives focused on cost
