Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee operations within a manufacturing environment. This leadership role requires a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management, logistics, and supply chain processes to ensure efficient inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory capabilities, expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Continuous Improvement, and experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PL). This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team, optimize warehouse workflows, and contribute to overall operational excellence.

Duties

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination with internal teams and external carriers, including freight management and dispatching.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and fostering a safety-conscious work environment.
  • Utilize Excel and D365 ERP System, and supply chain analytics tools to monitor inventory levels, optimize stock control, and improve operational workflows.
  • Prepare budgets related to warehouse operations, monitor profit & loss statements, and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective order fulfillment.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization across supply chain functions such as demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Manage freight forwarding activities including shipping & receiving documentation, dispatching schedules, and freight cost analysis.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse supervision within a manufacturing setting with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and D365 ERP System.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Continuous Improvement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management techniques including demand planning, procurement, inventory control, and materials management.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining safety standards.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL).
  • Competency in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, procurement processes, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Hands-on experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to analyze data for supply chain
