Inside Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding Location: Torrance/Los Angeles
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 Base + Commission

About the Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Executive to join a growing international freight forwarding business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of international pricing, procurement, quoting, and freight forwarding operations who enjoys working with customers and converting opportunities into revenue. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and internal operations teams to develop competitive solutions across air, ocean, and other international transportation services. If you have freight forwarding experience and understand how to price, quote, procure and win international freight, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and proactively develop business.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive international freight quotations.
  • Work closely with pricing and procurement teams to secure competitive rates.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers, NVOCCs, airlines, steamship lines, and other service providers.
  • Analyze market pricing and ensure quotes remain competitive and commercially viable.
  • Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed shipments.
  • Understand customer requirements and develop tailored air, ocean, and multimodal solutions.
  • Coordinate closely with operations to ensure a smooth transition from quote to shipment.
  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and opportunity information within the company's systems.
  • Develop a strong pipeline and consistently work toward monthly and annual revenue and gross-profit targets.
  • Support account development and identify opportunities to increase customer spend and share of wallet.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience within international freight forwarding, logistics, or a related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international freight pricing and procurement.
  • Proven experience preparing and managing freight quotations.
  • Understanding of air and ocean freight; experience with both is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of carrier and supplier rate structures.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to understand cost, sell price, margin, and gross profit.
  • Confident communicating with customers, carriers, overseas agents, and internal teams.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A proven ability to identify sales opportunities and turn quotes into business.
