What is a freight broker assistant?

Freight Broker Assistants support freight brokers in arranging transportation for goods between shippers and carriers. They help with administrative tasks such as preparing shipping documents, tracking shipments, communicating with customers, and coordinating logistics. On a daily basis, they handle tasks such as confirming shipment details, relaying updates about pick-up and delivery times, and addressing any issues that arise during transit. They often use specialized transportation management systems and must maintain detailed records to keep all parties informed and aligned. This collaborative environment requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
