What does a freezer manager do?

A Freezer Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of frozen storage areas in warehouses, grocery stores, or food distribution centers. Their duties include managing inventory, ensuring products are stored at the correct temperatures, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. They also coordinate receiving and shipping of frozen goods, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement efficient storage practices to maximize space and minimize waste.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a freezer manager?

To thrive as a Freezer Manager, you need strong organizational skills, knowledge of inventory management, and experience in cold storage operations, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), forklift operation, and safety certifications like OSHA are commonly required.
