As of Jun 16, 2026, the average hourly pay for freelance wset level 3 in the United States is $47.71, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $24.28 and $61.78 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs pay $2000 a day?

These positions typically require extensive experience, specialized skills, and a strong professional reputation.

Does WSET level 3 make you a sommelier?

WSET Level 3 is a professional certification that demonstrates advanced knowledge of wines but does not automatically qualify someone as a sommelier. Becoming a sommelier typically requires additional training, experience, and often certification from organizations like the Court of Master Sommeliers. WSET Level 3 can be a valuable credential for a sommelier but is not equivalent to the role itself.

What to do with WSET level 3?

A WSET Level 3 qualification prepares individuals for roles such as wine educator, sommelier, or wine buyer. It demonstrates advanced knowledge of wine regions, styles, and tasting techniques, often leading to opportunities in hospitality, retail, or wine distribution. Professionals with this certification may also pursue further certifications or specialize in specific wine sectors.

Will WSET 3 get me a job?

WSET Level 3 certification can enhance your qualifications for roles such as wine buyer, sommelier, or wine educator, as it demonstrates advanced knowledge of wines and tasting skills. However, securing a job also depends on experience, networking, and the specific employer's requirements, as the certification alone does not guarantee employment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Tableside Service

  • Elite Hospitality: Deliver flawless, highly personalized beverage service on the dining room floor, maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

  • Curated Pairings: Educate and assist guests with wine, sake, and spirit selections, artfully creating pairings that complement the complex flavor profiles of high-end Chinese cuisine.

  • Cellar Service: Oversee proper storage, temperature control, decanting, and pristine glassware service for all selections, particularly ultra-premium and rare vintages.

Sales & Program Management

  • Revenue Generation: Actively maximize beverage sales on the floor through intuitive upselling and sophisticated guest engagement.

  • Inventory & Maintenance: Assist the Beverage Director with cellar organization, monthly inventory, restocking, and ensuring the wine and sake lists are meticulously accurate and up to date.

  • Staff Education: Conduct ongoing beverage training and tastings for the service team to elevate their base knowledge and confidence on the floor.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience as a Sommelier in a luxury, fine-dining, or high-volume resort environment (Las Vegas Strip experience is highly preferred).

  • Credentials: Certified Sommelier (CMS) or WSET Level 3 preferred. Specialized certifications in Sake (e.g., Certified Sake Sommelier, Kikisakeshi, or WSET Level 3 in Sake) are a significant advantage.

  • Product Knowledge: Exceptional, deep-rooted knowledge of international wine regions, European classics, and premium sake production and styles.

  • Polished Presence: Impeccable grooming, professional demeanor, and articulate communication skills suited for a high-end luxury clientele.

  • Compliance: Must be 21+ and able to obtain all required local gaming, health, and alcohol awareness clearances (e.g., TAM card, health card).

What We Offer

This position offers a lucrative earning structure within a prestigious, high-volume luxury setting:

  • Competitive Hourly Base Rate + pooled/individual tips.

  • Uncapped Commission Structure tied directly to wine and sake sales.

  • Comprehensive Benefits Package

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Career Evolution: Direct access to some of the world's rarest allocations and opportunities for professional development within a premier hospitality portfolio.
