Under limited supervision, the Event Coordinator plans, manages, and executes events and programs that advance the University's mission, with a focus on supporting the Office of the President, Board of Trustees, Division of Development, and Communications Department.

The role also assists other university departments and colleges with event planning and special programming as needed. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HRTM or Public Relations. Proven experience in event planning and project management, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit setting.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Office, event management software, Omni CMS , and Mailchimp (or willingness to learn) Knowledge of or ability to learn USC policies and procedures, as well as USC systems (Blackbaud, PeopleSoft, etc.) Job Close Date 08/23/2026 Special Instructions to Applicant Positions are advertised for a minimum of five (5) business days on our job website.
