Job description

Job Summary

The University Event Production Intern supports the planning and execution of major university events, including devotionals and commencements. Working closely with the University Event Manager and Coordinator, this role assists with event preparation, presentation formatting, logistical coordination, and on-site execution, including serving as a backup teleprompter operator.

This position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to take initiative in fast-paced, guest-facing environments. The internship provides hands-on experience in university event production and professional development. It is available to recent graduates authorized to work in the United States for a duration of up to 12-18 months.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize event materials including content gathering, slide formatting, layout, proofreading, and editing in alignment with university branding and processes.
  • Assist with event execution, including serving as a backup teleprompter operator for devotionals, commencements, and other campus events.
  • Coordinate communication within the University Events team and with event participants and attendees.
  • Support logistical planning and organization, including room reservations, equipment setup, catering coordination, signage, and event supplies.
  • Document and evaluate events to support continuous improvement and future planning.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting, including attendance tracking and feedback analysis.
  • Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Highly organized with exceptional time-management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident, professional communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Enjoys hosting and interacting with guests, campus leaders, and university community members in a polished and welcoming manner.
  • Naturally outgoing, personable, and comfortable taking leads proactively in guest-facing situations and representing University Events with professionalism.
  • Able to be adaptable and solution-oriented in fast paced event environments.
