IT Resiliency Project Manager / Disaster Recovery Lead

 

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates located in Connecticut or the Northeast)

Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract with Strong Extension Potential

Employment Type: Contract (This Contract is eligible for Paid Time Off Accrual)

 

About the Opportunity:

Our client is seeking an experienced IT professional to help modernize and enhance enterprise disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and technology continuity capabilities.


This position will play a key role in assessing current-state recovery processes, developing future-state resilience strategies, improving disaster recovery documentation, and partnering with technology and business stakeholders to strengthen organizational preparedness.


The ideal candidate brings a strong technical IT background and understands how infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud services, and operational processes work together during recovery scenarios.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the modernization of enterprise IT disaster recovery and resilience programs
  • Assist with development of future-state policies, standards, and governance frameworks
  • Review, update, and enhance disaster recovery plans and supporting documentation
  • Analyze previous incident response and recovery efforts to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Help establish recovery prioritization strategies for critical systems and services
  • Facilitate discussions with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and document dependencies
  • Support technology criticality assessments and recovery readiness initiatives
  • Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across technology recovery processes
  • Develop presentations, reports, process documentation, and executive-ready materials
  • Lead meetings, coordinate project activities, and drive assigned workstreams to completion

  • 5+ years of professional IT experience

  • Understanding of application, infrastructure, network, and cloud technology dependencies

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
