Job description

Job Summary:
Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, to facilitate this the Energy and Charging teams are delivering leading edge EV charging technologies and critical energy infrastructure. The Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer will drive global cybersecurity strategies, processes, and product certifications while managing compliance plans and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL)/Notified Bodies (NB) to achieve both enterprise and product level cyber security compliance
• Prepare compliance statements and technical documents to ensure cyber security requirements are executed globally
• Develop and maintain test procedures, and tools to support product homologation
• Collaborate with the cross-functional development teams to design, build and validate system rigidity
• Design and build test methodologies to target specific end-to-end cyber vulnerabilities
• Contribute to cybersecurity design and architectural implementation to improve system security
• Participate in committee/trade groups to support and aid the development of cyber security regulations
• Provide training and compliance auditing to reduce vulnerability exposure
• Root cause and recreate failure modes, analyze, and document test data, communicate results and recommendations ensuring test efficacy and regulatory controls
• Support all aspects of cyber security compliance within quality and IT management systems and controls
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or Engineering discipline and 3 years of experience in a regulatory approval environment, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and EMEA regulations, such as NIST-CSF, RED, CRA, NIS2, CAF, SOC2, ISO 27001
• Knowledge of cyber security standards e.g. IEC 62443, UL 2900, ETSI EN 303 645, EN 18031, EN 40000
• Familiar with cyber security vulnerability scanning tools
• Knowledge of operating systems and networking (Windows, Unix, Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP)
• Demonstrated experience taking products through a certification process such as CE and UL
• Attention to detail and ability to navigate/interpret ambiguity of standards
• Hands-on experience with software engineering components and system interactions in complex systems
Preferred:
• Certified security professional
• Programming and scripting skills such as Python
