Job description

What to Expect

We're seeking a talented piping designer with CAD Admin and Plant 3D experience to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your design/layout skillset, bringing conceptual designs into reality. In this permanent, full-time position, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of sustainable energy and redefining the manufacturing/refinery landscape. What You'll Do
  • Develop equipment and piping in both 2D and 3D layouts
  • Create 3D equipment models and review vendor equipment packages and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) using Plant 3D Smart P&ID System
  • Understandthe fundamentals of process, utilities & slurry piping design
  • Present 2D and 3D designs at cross-discipline coordination meetings
  • Review drawing package submittals for technical and aesthetic accuracy
  • Respond to field Request for Information (RFIs)
  • Admin experience creating catalogs and writing specs into Plant 3D and maintaining specs moving forward, setting up border/templates, automating the population of border titles, MTO extraction, ability to troubleshoot model/spec issues, getting third party contractors set up using ACC Docs, understand linking 3D models to the smart P&ID database
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of Plant 3D experience
  • Strong proficiencyin creating ISOs, plans/sections, spool drawings, MTOs, checking piping packages and leading projects
  • Experience as a lead designer with the ability to start new projects and/or multitask multiple projects at once
  • Experience in overseeing third party piping design contractors
