About the position

As a Network Infrastructure Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for network infrastructure projects supporting all company verticals.

Day in the life

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for structured cabling and fiber optics.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to determine scope and requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure alignment on design and cost assumptions.
  • Support proposal development and client presentations with clear, data-driven cost breakdowns.
  • Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimation tools.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
  • Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
  • Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in estimating network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems.
  • Skills to read, interpret and understand plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in estimation software, Accubid, Bluebeam and Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA standards, and NEC codes preferred.

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required

 

Salary Range

  • $88,000 – $106,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
