Partners with key stakeholders to strengthen instructional practices, ensure coherence across grade levels, and support students in building the skills needed for rigorous, grade-level content and long-term academic success. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1
Designs and develops job-embedded professional learning aligned to curriculum, including slides, activities, and assessments 2. Supports development of teacher-facing curriculum materials aligned to district instructional expectations 3. Participates in PLC/brain trust sessions to refine curriculum and instructional practices 5. Attends and contributes to TEKS-aligned professional development 6. Collaborate with teachers and leaders to support implementation EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree WORK EXPERIENCE At least 3 years teaching or district experience SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION Software Oracle SAP Microsoft Office Teacher Certification (preferred) Equipment Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier) LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES Level 1-No supervisory responsibilities
May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff. WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT BUDGET AUTHORITY No budget development activity is required. PROBLEM SOLVING Decisions are made with greater freedom and discretion, including recommendations that are subject to approval on matters that may affect multiple departments across HISD.
