Job description

SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting campground guests, opening and closing office, performing camper check in process, using reservations system, processing retail purchases, answering phone calls, coordinating with other departments on addressing issues, re-stocking of retails items, inventory, supporting campground events, and maintaining a clean environment for our guests and staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assisting campground guest as needed including providing information and addressing any issues
  • Opening and closing the office
  • Camper check-in process
  • Reservation system for creating reservations, making changes, cancellations, refunds, and reporting
  • Rent golf carts and maintain cleanliness of carts
  • Answering phones to provide information about campground, manage reservations, answer questions, or address issues
  • Use POS system for retail sales transactions
  • Re-stock retail items and perform retail inventory
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues such as maintenance and IT
  • Participate and support campground events
  • Support common area attendants as needed
  • Reporting and following up on issues with appropriate organizations
  • Participate in training new staff members
  • Maintain a clean environment for guests and staff

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willing to be outside in a range of different weather conditions
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Successful completion of background check
  • Ability to work as a self-starter, have initiative, and require minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate with fellow employees, guests, and outside vendors
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report for the last 3 years.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
