Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented life scientist to join the Cell and Molecular Research Field Applications Scientist team, supporting the Southwest/Mountain region of the United States (located in CO, NV, UT, AZ, NM, or Los Angeles). The ideal candidate is outgoing, confident, and possesses excellent communication and presentation skills. This role requires the ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a dynamic, growing sales team supporting life science research. Responsibilities include supporting customer use of instruments focused on live-cell analysis, microscopy, flow cytometry, metabolic profiling, and multimode detection.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide field-based and remote scientific support in both pre- and post-sales capacities, delivered primarily through focused one-on-one consultations, product demonstrations, applications training, and assay optimization.

  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in instrument hardware and software, while staying current with established workflows, assays, and emerging applications.

  • Convey customers' voice and feedback to product management to promote innovation and address evolving market requirements.

Qualifications
  • M.S. or PhD in Cell Biology or a related field with hands-on live-cell experience (PhD strongly preferred).

  • 2+ years of academic or industrial experience with microscopy and live-cell handling required; flow cytometry experience is a plus.

  • 1+ year of industry experience, preferably in a Field Application Scientist role.

  • Experience with Agilent BioTek, NovoCyte, Seahorse, or xCELLigence platforms is highly desirable.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least April 29, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted. It is sales incentive eligible. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $105,075.00 - $187,384.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
