The Flow Cytometry Sales Representative is responsible for implementing a sales plan designed to achieve established sales and financial goals; call on prospective and current company customers; involve technical personnel to resolve customer's issues and problems as needed; participate in the establishment of sales targets and design of the territory's sales plan; and control sales expenses. Strategic sales targets include all Academic, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Industrial, Hospitals, CROs etc.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, and is part of Beckman Coulter Life Science Commercial Organization working remotely to cover New Jersey and Pennsylvania territory.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Selling flow cytometry hardware to quotas assigned
  • Selling consumables to quotas assigned
  • Management of assigned territory accounts
  • Searching out new and competitive business and working with accounts to develop programs to expand and increase our influence and presence

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Must live in the greater Philadelphia area
  • Bachelor's degree in Scientific field with 5+ years' experience OR Master's degree in a scientific field with 1+ years' experience
  • Solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers) and have practical experience and/or knowledge of flow cytometry equipment
  • Highly motivated, success driven, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time and territory management habits

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - 70% travel within territory and overnights
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with CRM preferably SFDC, and Microsoft Office programs

The base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000. This role is also eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC). The total target compensation under the plan (base + SIC) is $184,900- $194,900 annually. Actual SIC earnings may exceed or fall below the target based on individual sales performance. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
