Unlike in-house project managers, freelancers work with multiple clients and may handle projects across various industries. They offer flexibility and specialized expertise, making them valuable for organizations that need project support without hiring a full-time employee.

Can a freelance project manager work freelance?

A freelance project manager works independently, managing projects for clients on a contract basis without being employed by a single company. Freelance project managers can choose their workload and work remotely or on-site depending on client needs.

They often require strong organizational skills and familiarity with project management tools like MS Project or Asana, and their demand is expected to grow as organizations seek flexible staffing options.
