Job description

Job Summary

As our IT Support Technician, you'll be the go-to resource for all things technology at LPS Specialty Products LLC. This is a hands-on, varied role within a small manufacturing and warehouse environment — meaning you'll gain broad exposure across desktop support, networking, servers, and general IT operations. If you're someone who thrives on solving problems and wants to grow your skills across the full IT landscape, this is a great opportunity.

Responsibilities

Desktop & End-User Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users
  • Manage help desk tickets, prioritize requests, and escalate complex issues as needed
  • Support Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Assist with onboarding new employees by preparing equipment and user accounts
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and asset inventory

Networking & Infrastructure

  • Assist with the administration and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi, switches, and routers
  • Support server maintenance tasks including monitoring, updates, and basic administration (Windows Server)
  • Help manage network connectivity across office, manufacturing, and warehouse areas
  • Assist with firewall and basic network security tasks

General IT Support

  • Support printers, scanners, and other office/warehouse equipment
  • Assist with software installations, licensing, and updates
  • Help maintain IT security best practices (antivirus, patching, access management)
  • Support Microsoft 365 administration including user accounts, email, and cloud services
  • Assist with any additional IT-related projects and initiatives as the company grows
  • Travel between LPS Specialty Products Inc locations to provide on-site technical support as needed

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments is a plus
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required
