Job Summary:
Supermicro is a leading provider of advanced server, storage, and networking solutions. They are looking for a Software Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of complex software and firmware systems, focusing on developing automated test scripts and frameworks while collaborating with development teams.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and tools from scratch or by enhancing existing ones.
• Write automated tests for UI (web/mobile), API, integration, performance and end-to-end scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc)
• Collaborate with developers and the QA team to implement shift-level testing practices, improve code quality and achieve high test coverage.
• Analyze test results, debug failures and provide detailed reports and insights to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual testing processes.
• Mentor junior engineers on automation best practices and tools.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, Shell.
• Solid experience with automation tools and frameworks: Web: Selenium, Playwright; Mobile: Appium; API: Postman, Requests
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
• Good understanding of software testing principles, SDLC and Agile/ Scrum methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, clean code principles and maintainable code practices.
