ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Manufacturing Automation team is seeking a Senior Machine Vision Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Automation team is responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems across Anduril factories. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help define what production automation looks like for Anduril at a national scale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop and implement machine vision for automation systems, quality inspection, defect detection, and process monitoring
  • Specify, procure, validate, and sustain vision system components including cameras, lenses, lighting, controllers, and software
  • Oversee the installation, validation, and commissioning of vision systems in production environments across multiple product lines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate high-precision inspection systems into production lines and automation systems
  • Lead efforts into RCCA on vision systems and process failures
  • Train production staff on the operation and maintenance of vision systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • 4+ years of experience in developing and maintaining vision systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing vision system platforms (Cognex, Keyence, iRVision, Halcon) and programming languages (Python, C++, OpenCV)
  • Strong understanding of image processing algorithms, optics, and lighting principles
  • Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems including PLC / robot integration
  • Familiarity with advanced defect detection techniques, AI-based vision systems, and SPC methodologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
