As a R&D Engineering II– Machine Vision, you will design and develop machine vision-based products emphasizing electronics and software development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform new product research and conceptual design as a design team member.
  • Develop, implement, and test vision-based software algorithms.
  • Develop, implement, and test vision-based electronics.
  • Support the development of application-level software.
  • Support further development of existing products as needed.
  • Support the development of factory test fixtures as required
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 3-5years of experience designing and developing electronics and software for machine vision systems.
  • Knowledgeable in image processing, image analysis, 3D perspective geometry, pattern recognition algorithms, and metrology algorithms.
  • Experience in board-level electronic design, including imager, microcontroller, PLD, memory architecture, low-voltage power supply, and basic analog design.
  • Experience in embedded code development in C/C++.
  • Experience developing application-level software, including screen design and user interface design.
  • Experience developing systems in C and C++ using a Windows-based development environment is required. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio is preferred.
  • Experience working in a multiple developer team environment with configuration management and defect tracking tools is preferred.
  • Experience specifying or designing machine vision system hardware (cameras, optics, lighting, etc.) is preferred.
