Job description

This position will perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to ensure inventory levels match what is in the system. Investigates discrepancies and communicates with the appropriate manager to make any adjustments to inventory levels as needed. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory levels to ensure that purchasing is accurate, and so that production is not affected by any shortages, and so mid and year-end inventory audit levels are correct to avoid any gains or losses.


· Conduct weekly cycle counts from a provided list in the warehouse or outside.

· Compare cycle counts to what is in the system and investigate any variances.

· Perform root cause analysis for any count or location variance, determine next steps and carry about action to ensure there are no repeat offenders.

· Fill out paperwork for all counting activities and report to the appropriate manager.

· Make inventory adjustments in the system that have been properly investigated and approved if necessary.


· Previous experience within a cycle counting role is a must!

· Strong attention to detail

· Computer and data entry experience

· Able to safely operate a fork truck

· Good oral and written communication skills

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· Manually lift up to 50 pounds

· Capable of standing/walking more than 80% of work time
