Job Description
Primary Function of Position
The Senior Logistics Compliance Analyst is responsible for the import and export
compliance procedures and international trade programs, which include but not
limited to supply chain security (C-TPAT, AEO), international trade data integrity
(country of origin, classification, ECCN, etc), duty drawback, Free Trade
Agreement, reconciliation, etc. This position will assist Logistics Compliance
manager in driving the overall logistics compliance strategies, activities, and
requirements for the medical devices import, export, and trade regulations. He/
she will ensure compliance with applicable company policies and regulations
while ensuring the expeditious flow of international trade. This individual will
support the organization at a tactical and operational level and advises
management on strategics initiatives.
Essential Job Duties
โ€ข Perform import/export activities in compliance with government rules and
regulations, organizational policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
โ€ข Manage issues related to proper legal interpretation and determination of
the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Country of Origin, Customs Valuations,
ECCN, International Trade Administration's anti-dumping regulated product
flows, duty drawback, duty suspension, and other governmental programs
driving exemptions of products and purchases.
โ€ข Manage compliance with preferential-and non-preferential trade programs
and issue certificates as applicable.
โ€ข Responsible for the Customs reconciliation and anti-boycott programs.
โ€ข Audit and maintain data governance in SAP/ product database and
applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory
requirements.
โ€ข Create and maintain import/ export compliance manuals, policies and
procedures, SOPs, and trade compliance guidelines.
โ€ข Assist Logistics Compliance manager in researching Customs- and
regulatory requirements for new destination markets including
classification, import licenses, valuation, documentation, and import- and
export restrictions and communicate back to medical device business.
โ€ข Interact with IT and Center of Excellence (COE) to streamline and improve
import/ export data for compliance; communicate requirements to IT and
assist with testing and solutions implementation.
โ€ข Miscellaneous Tariff Bill - monitor, determination of products and filing of
new petitions.
โ€ข Monitor and alert new trade policies globally - such as Section 301.
โ€ข Maintains adherence to and assist with the Customs-Trade Partnership
Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) implementation and annual validation.
โ€ข Submit and monitor import/ export permit/ license applications as needed.
โ€ข Conduct and report findings of internal risk assessments. Follow-up with
Compliance Improvement Plans.
โ€ข Provide training to other functional groups on import and export
requirements.
โ€ข Assist in global and/or regional compliance projects/programs.
โ€ข Develop and generate compliance and service provider performance reports
for management.
โ€ข Assist in development and maintenance of operational processes and
procedures to improve workflows and process.
โ€ข Assist in defining Intuitive audit guidelines to monitor customer/ order
compliance and aid in determining future training/ procedural needs.
โ€ข Communicate company policies and procedures to internal and external
stakeholders.
โ€ข Provide assistance to company sites, suppliers, and customers in the
continuous improvement of their compliance functions.
โ€ข Perform other duties, tasks, special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
โ€ข Expert knowledge of customs regulations, FDA importing regulations, EAR &
Census Trade requirements.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of Customs regulations, import and export classification,
free trade agreement and training skills.
โ€ข Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem solving with
experience in risk management processes and gap analysis.
โ€ข Proficient at multi-tasking, well organized and reliable for consistent
decision making and follow through.
โ€ข Work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to deliver creative and practical solutions to solve
complex logistics and impact of current and potential regulatory compliance
issues.

โ€ข Experience in Supply Chain Security Program and duty drawback.
