Position Title Applied Exercise Science Graduate Assistant (Teaching and Research) Morosky School of Health Professions and Sciences Posting Number AS1163P Subdivision School of Health Professions Division Col.Health Professions & Sci. Department Applied Exercise Science Location Erie, Pa Position Summary
Graduate Assistants in the Applied Exercise Science Graduate Program will be required to:
1. Teach lab courses pertaining to Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Testing & Prescription, and Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries
2. Assist in lab practical testing situations.
3. Conduct open lab hours for undergraduate students.
4. Help lead and conduct exercise testing on student-athletes and community members in the Human Performance Lab (HPL).
5. Assist faculty in the Applied Exercise Science department with new and ongoing research projects.
6. Assist faculty in departmental administrative duties.
Required Qualifications
Applicants for the Applied Exercise Science Graduate Assistant position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Current graduate student in the Masters of Sport & Exercise Science (MSES) program.
2. Familiarity with lab equipment used in exercise testing.
3. Comfortable with public speaking.
4. Capacity to communicate ideas and techniques to different groups.
5. Willingness to work closely with department faculty.
