COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Boston Common Golf is one of six inaugural teams in TGL presented by SoFi. Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, Hideki Matsuyama and Micheal Thorbjornsen represent Boston and New England playing in five regular season matches broadcast live on ESPN against the other TGL teams. The matches are played at the SoFi Center, a custom-built venue in Palm Beach, Florida, that combines a data-rich virtual course with a state-of-the-art short game complex.
Boston Common Golf is part of Fenway Sports Group, a global sports, marketing, media, entertainment, and real estate company anchored by three iconic clubs, the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool Football Club, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. FSG's portfolio includes two of the world's most historic venues, Fenway Park and Anfield Stadium, NASCAR's RFK Racing, NESN, Fenway Sports Management (FSM), and Fenway Sports Group Real Estate (FSGRE).
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is responsible for setting the overall marketing vision, aligning brand strategy with business objectives, and overseeing the planning and performance of all marketing initiatives. This person will be expected to have an entrepreneurial spirit, build close relationships, have extreme attention to detail, and work with thoroughness and kindness. Additionally, as part of joining to this start-up venture, they will be expected to demonstrate a willingness and commitment to working in a team first, collaborative environment.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 based on relevant experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for annual incentive pay along with our comprehensive benefits package.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define and oversee the marketing vision of Boston Common Golf, ensuring alignment with brand identity, revenue, and growth goals.
  • Develop and lead comprehensive integrated marketing strategies across digital, brand, content, partnerships, influencers and experiential channels.
  • Oversee brand positioning, ensuring consistency and differentiation in a competitive sports landscape.
  • Manage relationships, goals, expectations, and execution across content creation network of agencies, freelancers, and the internal creative team.
  • Establish key performance indicators and maintain consistent reporting on paid and organic marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, sales, partnerships, events, and creative services.
  • Oversee Boston Common Golf's licensing program.
  • Manage marketing budget, resource allocation, and external vendors or agencies.

CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 7 - 10+ years of experience in sports marketing, preferably for a team, league, property or sports/entertainment marketing agency.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Deep understanding of the professional golf industry and prior experience within golf preferred.
  • Proven experience formulating, building and executing multi-faceted marketing programs, including revenue-driving marketing assets.
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial, and well-organized with a strong work ethic and a desire/willingness to learn.
  • Experience with digital marketing, specifically with paid, organic and social media campaigns. including knowledge of X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube platforms.
  • Experience with digital advertising and social analytics tools to effectively measure campaign success to create associated reports.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across marketing, creative, business, and analytics teams.
  • Strong time management, customer service, and organizational skills with experience working effectively in a team dynamic.
  • High energy with ability to work long/flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel to all Boston Common Golf matches and partnership events.
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
