With a salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, this role offers competitive compensation along with opportunities to earn bonuses based on client engagement.

About the Organization

At the First Responder Mental Health Clinic, we are committed to enhancing the mental health and wellness of first responders including firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical personnel. Our clinic specializes in addressing the unique challenges faced by these professionals. Our team is passionate about providing evidence-based therapy that respects confidentiality and is tailored to the unique experiences of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to meet client needs.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions that are aligned with best practices in mental health counseling.
  • Create, monitor, and modify personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients to track progress and outcomes.
  • Guide clients through the understanding of their emotions and behaviors, helping them to develop effective coping strategies.
  • Utilize secure electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and client interactions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to further enhance clinical skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with first responders who often encounter high-stress situations and trauma in their careers. This includes managing mental health challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and providing both preventive and responsive therapeutic practices tailored to their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required.
  • Proficiency in digital mental health tools and a strong understanding of virtual therapy best practices.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills to manage client schedules effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with first responders or in crisis intervention settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and cultural competence in working with diverse populations.
  • Previous experience in a telehealth format is beneficial, as it promotes a smoother integration into our virtual platform.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Bonuses available based on client engagement metrics.
  • Employer-supported 401(k) with company match.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans to support overall well-being.
  • Life insurance policy provided to enhance your financial security.
