Marcus Evans

Atlanta, GA • Remote

Job description

Marcus Evans is a global leader in business intelligence, helping our clients grow by making connections, sharing knowledge, inspiring people, building relationships and creating new opportunities. With over four decades of experience and teams of highly experienced professionals across 50+ office locations, we deliver impactful strategic insight and business development guidance across all sectors through high-level summits, conferences, online platforms, performance coaching, and curated corporate event programmes. Based in 30+ countries, we create services that connect decision-makers, spark innovation, and drive real business growth.
ME Perform is the performance improvement consultancy of the Marcus Evans Group. We work differently from most of the training market: we diagnose what is actually holding an organisation's people back, design a programme specifically for them, deliver it over months rather than days, and measure whether behaviour genuinely changed, then hand the client written evidence of what improved. Because the design work is done in-house by our Programme Scientists, our trainers get something rare: a fully built, properly researched session, briefed to them in advance, delivered to a cohort who have already been diagnosed and who are expecting to work rather than watch.
Job Summary
You will deliver live sessions, typically 90 to 150 minutes, mostly online, working from a session design and a written brief prepared for you by the Programme Scientist.
This is a delivery role, and deliberately so. You are not asked to write content, find clients, or sell anything. You are asked to be outstanding in the room. Based on the seniority and ability of the applicant there will also be an opportunity extend this role to a follow-up coach with the same group.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver live sessions to our designed structure, to a consistently high standard.
  • Prepare from the written brief you receive at least five working days before each session - preparation time is paid within the session fee.
  • Run structured practice: our sessions are built around participants doing the thing, not listening to it explained. Expect to spend much of each session facilitating small-group work, giving feedback, and coaching in the moment.
  • Manage the room - including the sceptical senior participant, the quiet group, and the one who wants to debate rather than practise.
  • Submit brief written session notes within 48 hours of every session, so the Programme Scientist can adjust what comes next.
  • Take part in accreditation before your first client session, and stay open to observation and feedback afterwards.

Qualifications
Essential
  • Substantial experience facilitating live learning or development sessions for professional or managerial audiences in a corporate setting.
  • Genuinely strong online delivery - confident running breakout groups, keeping cameras on and energy up, and handling the mechanics without it disrupting the session.
  • Comfortable delivering material you did not write, to a structure you are asked to keep to. This is the single most important requirement of the role.
  • Skilled at running practice and giving direct, useful feedback to adults - rather than presenting.
  • Reliable on the administrative side: punctual, responsive, and consistent with session notes.
  • Fluent, credible professional English, and comfortable with senior audiences.

Desirable
  • Experience in one or more of: leadership and management development, communication and influence, collaboration, resilience and change, or working across cultures.
  • A coaching qualification, or experience delivering one-to-one as well as group work.
  • Additional languages, or experience delivering to international cohorts working in a second language.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based learning design - you do not need to be a researcher, but you should be interested in why a session is built the way it is.

How the engagement works
  • Paid accreditation first: a methodology induction, then you deliver a full session for our Programme Scientist to observe, paid at half the standard session fee. Accreditation is completed before any client-facing work.
  • You are then briefed and booked per session. Fees are paid per session with preparation included, invoiced on delivery, on 30-day terms.
  • Standard contract terms apply, including confidentiality, intellectual property assignment for anything created in connection with the work, and non-solicitation of our clients. These are shared in full before accreditation.
  • If a client cancels at short notice, you are protected: cancellations inside five working days are paid in full.

Marcus Evans is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business need.
