Job description

Position Summary
In this role, the primary responsibility is to support the Training Team in a Volunteer/Intern capacity. This role will assist with developing, implementing, and managing eLearning programs that support our educational and training objectives. You will collaborate with learning experience designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to create engaging and effective online learning content. Job Responsibilities
  • Assists with creating a positive volunteer experience and integration with PFL's work culture.
  • Design and develop eLearning courses using industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate)
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and alignment with learning objectives.
  • Create multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, audio, and video, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including course uploads, user management, and reporting.
  • Ensure all eLearning materials comply with accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure functionality and compatibility across devices and platforms.
  • Analyze learner feedback and assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of eLearning programs.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in eLearning and educational technology.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for eLearning courses and platforms.
  • Adheres to PFL's Code of Conduct
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education Requirement
  • Must be currently pursuing or have completed a degree in one of the following fields: Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in eLearning development or a similar role: Interdisciplinary Studies, Counseling, Sociology, or human services related fields of study preferred.
  • Must be classified as a Junior or Senior for Internship. Volunteers may be graduates or active students.

Skills Requirement
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards
  • Excellent graphic design skills and proficiency in multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Dependable, enthusiastic, and must have a go-getter attitude
  • Detail-oriented with strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Commitment to collaborative decision-making and cooperative working relationships with P4L staff and community partners

Additional Information
Estimated time commitment: 9-10 hours/ week depending on needs, in addition to weekly meetings and occasional conference calls.
Term limit: 4 Months unpaid/volunteer position (Can be extendable on mutual agreement).
